So I'll keep this as succinct as possible... for me... I hope... otherwise Mark a/k/a TSM is going to firebomb my house.
We had a preview today and got a chance to try out some builds and some targets. The A set had the 81 and 85 available. The B set... well, I'm not sure. I was multi-tasking and was concentrating on the IB builds and the A set. This is what I ended up with:
I played around with a few builds and believe it or not, this was Build F. I tried with the original build from the last article, and while it was OK, I think the X armors are still not working properly and ended up with this build. The results are below in the video. Enjoy!!
Because any damage above the armor ability goes into the standard calculation. I did try an ablative build. This build was the one with the best results.
Thanks for the hard work that you, Mark and others have done to help us prepare for the coming raid. The mechanics of this "game" are sometimes daunting. Sometimes? For me most times.
I have no idea how i will do this raid with my current FM fleet :) though I haven't tried yet so i may have more of a chance than I give myself credit for.
ok so i need to change my armor to the one i see here or go with other you suggested before sorry im more french so sometime hard for me to capiche :-P
George also showed us how to drive these targets... stopping at the first turret in a cluster and letting the splash take out the cluster... before we get in range.
In the "how charged armor works" section on forums, the bp's are shown as having exp. and pen. charges...however, in lab and shipyard, these values are "null".The adjective "null" means invalid or with the value of zero. So, are these armors actually working or is this a typo on the part of kixeye?
Funny, as soon as I asked this, I went back to game and all of a sudden the charge types are listed everywhere. Still be nice to know if they are working correctly.
TY for all the work George, and posting the build and patterns to use in targets. Unfortunately, it'll take me 20 days to refit from charged (C1-M) armor to D5-M, and have to switch phal 4 for tridents, so I'm screwed. Curious: what do u like about tridents? Have not found them very useful thus far...
I'm curious, why use MX-3 if you have the charged armours? Couldn't you use AA3 and just ignore missile resistance entirely?

DeleteHoly cow... you mean you got hit with damage over 37k? That's gonna smoke a normal ship!

ReplyDeleteThe X Charged Armor still seems to be a detriment so I removed it.
DeleteWell Kixeye did state that purchasers of the charged armour were to be the guinea pigs while it was tuned

ReplyDeleteSo I guess we wont be able to auto these since they have the mines ??

Deletethanks for good info.
ReplyDeleteI thought that one charged armor for missile would be enough, did u by any chance test that too?
